Meng Xu (许萌)
I am a professor in the School of Automation at Beijing Institute of Technology (北京理工大学自动化学院) and a member of the State Key Lab of Autonomous Intelligent Unmanned Systems (自主智能无人系统全国重点实验室), with affiliations in Control Science and Engineering (控制科学与工程) and Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems (模式识别与智能系统). My work focuses on evolutionary computation, genetic programming, reinforcement learning, and intelligent optimization for scheduling and decision making.

- Scientist, Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech), A*STAR, Singapore. Conducted research and development on AI-driven optimization and scheduling for intelligent manufacturing.
- Postdoctoral Research Fellow (joint appointment), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Supervisor: Professor Yew-Soon Ong.
- Algorithm Engineer, Zhejiang Lab, China. Built a dynamic workflow scheduling simulator for multi-robot cloud-side scenarios and proposed a genetic programming approach for workflow scheduling.
- Algorithm Engineer, Alibaba, China. Developed a real-time pedestrian detection and tracking pipeline using RGB-D data.
